Reaching School Leaders
Selling to UK School leaders can be incredibly difficult. With school leaders increasingly inaccessible gaining access to this group is harder than ever. If you are looking to reach and sell to school leaders here are our top ten tips..
Join one of our online events - where we do the legwork for you and provide you with the Headteachers, so all you have to do is tell them about your product. They are choosing to listen and learn - please do book a call to find out more or drop an email to info@edinsight.co.uk
Visit, even if you don’t exhibit, the main Education events, from BETT to the Schools and Academies Show to The Education Show events. Exhibiting can be very useful however it is costly so make sure you have a clear plan of action before committing.
Join the Facebook groups for teachers - there are lots of them! A great way to hear what people are talking about and ensure you are uptodate on the latest challenges.
Look for communities of school leaders. For example, HeadteacherChat and We are in Beta both have great communities of Headteachers, if you can collaborate with them you will be able to have access to a wider audience.
Email marketing still works for school leaders! Yes, their inboxes are full however they do still read emails and carefully crafted campaigns will work. If you are looking for support in this area we would recommend the Education Company.
Look for other educational suppliers you can collaborate with, often products compliment each other, the biggest community of education suppliers is BESA - you have to pay to be a member however they do have events that you can go to as a non member.
Build your advocates - school leaders trust school leaders. If you have happy customers see if they can help you promote your product. Ask them for testimonials, school leaders love hearing what other leaders have to say.
Don’t forget about X. The Edutwitter community is still going strong. It may not be the silver bullet it once was to market to school leaders however it is still thriving.
Do consider the value of online focus groups like we provide. They are cost effective as you can do them from the comfort of your own home - no travel time, no stand build time. Book a meeting to find out more or drop us an email - info@edinsight.co.uk
Be patient! Selling to schools is not for the faint hearted!
